Veedersburg, Ind. - Ollie Wayne Day, 58, died at 4:30 a.m. yesterday (March 21, 1967) at the Garfield Nursing Home in Indianapolis. He had been a patient there a week. Born April 1, 1908 at Morgantown, Ky., he was the son of John and Mary Payton Day. He moved to Veedersburg with his parents when a child. He was a laborer and the last of seven children. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Norman Van Ausdall, Mrs. Bonnie Byers, Mrs. Beverly Lynch, all of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Donna Clawson of Veedersburg, and ten grandchildren. The body is at the Fishero Funeral Home here and friends may call after 2 today. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. James Dyson officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery.

A native of Morgantown KY he was born April 1, 1908 a son of John and Mary Payton Day. He came to Veedersburg with his parents as a child. Surviving are 4 daughters, Mrs. Donna Clawson of Veedersburg and Mrs. Norman Vanausdall, Mrs. Bonnie Byers and Mrs. Beverly Lynch all of Indianapolis and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thusday at the Fishero Funeral Home here with Rev. James Dyson officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may pay respects at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
